Else Kröner Fresenius Stiftung (EKFZ): This project promotes the education and training of students, doctors, nurses and physiotherapists in neurosurgical specialities in order to improve access to neurosurgical care. All professional groups involved in the treatment pathway are supported by modern teaching methods (theoretical and practical instruction, eLearning and Virtual Reality Training).

Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ): The project within the framework of the clinic partnerships has the aim of training neurosurgical specialists and further training of nursing and therapy personnel by introducing standard operating procedures and standardised surgical techniques for the diseases of craniocerebral trauma and intracranial haemorrhage as well as intracranial meningioma and hydrocephalus in childhood. This should lead to an increase in the range of treatments and better treatment results.

Deutsche Apotheker- und Ärztebank (apoBank):

Deutsche Apotheker- und Ärztebank (apoBank): In this project student exchange to Malawi to conduct scientific-epidemiological studies on neurosurgical disease patterns is encouraged.

Deutschen Akademischen Austausch Dienst (DAAD):

Deutschen Akademischen Austausch Dienst (DAAD): Projects are also carried out with other African countries or across countries, e.g. the project "German-Arab Transformation Partnership" patient safety, funded by the DAAD and the German Foreign Office, for students from Germany, Tunisia and Malawi. The purpose is to create networks to improve neurosurgical care structures.

B.Braun-Stiftung:

B.Braun-Stiftung: Supports advanced training events in Germany within the framework of the Malawi project. The purpose of the first training event was to describe the objectives and the means used in this project. Further activities and starting points for other projects have been discussed.
